Educational and Rehabilitation Centres for Physically handicapped/Mentally Retarded Children.

It is for no reason of theirs that these people are doomed to lead a dejected life mostly confined to the walls of their house. They deserve to be treated just as the normal children and it is our ordained duty to do all that is possible to bring them into the main stream of social life. The service rendered by a few organizations in this regard, though creditable, benefits only a very small segment of the category. More voluntary organizations should come forward to take up their education and rehabilitation in a social environment where they are well cared for. CASS centres, to be set up at district level, would strive to benefit a considerable number of such children, giving them best attention and medical support possible. Our tie-ups with major hospitals and voluntary service of member doctors can facilitate the process.
