In their relentless race to beat the rest in scoring marks for the subjects taught in the class, children are not generally permitted to pursue their extra curricular interests. Children showing considerable talent too are not rightfully patronized to mature their skills with the result that we cease to have good athletes and artists, writers and poets, scientists and scholars to the credit of our country. When compared to other countries, our position is humiliatingly low in producing leading luminaries in various fields. CASS, in liaison with schoolteachers, would be making sustained efforts to identify talented youngsters for giving advanced training at appropriate levels.
