‘ Education is not putting a lot of information into your head. You should have life-building, character-making assimilations of ideas.’ – said Sri. Vivekananda Swamikal.
Education should be such as to afford us true insight into the whole process of life, which should be what we have to discover ourselves. This process should start at an early age, at school level itself, guided effectively by parents and teachers. If we do not begin to understand life while we are young, there is all the likelihood of our growing up hideous, dull, and worthless inside though outwardly we may become affluent enough to make expensive acquisitions and put on airs. What we need is an enquiring mind, an exploring mind to find out and tap the full potentials of education, which is, and should be, a lifelong process. Fact-finding should be our mission that can lead us to the real meaning and fulfillment of our life.
Schools, which help the children start the process, play perhaps the most predominant role in making life valuable, only if it could be a forum capable of promoting sound rapport among the three groups, children, parents and teachers. Concerted and coordinated efforts, each group identifying itself with the role it has to play in this intellectual pursuit, alone could avail. We, at CASS educational centres, strive to achieve this goal.
